Fortum's new biomass-fuelled CHP plant in Pärnu, Estonia, has been inaugurated. The plant, which uses local fuels such as woodchips, wood residues from industry and milled peat, has a production capacity of 24 MW of electricity and 50 MW of heat. Its annual sales volume will be 110 GWh of electricity and 220 GWh of heat, which is expected to cover the district heating demand of all Pärnu. ...
