Agstar to sell Woodbury ethanol plant to Carbon Green BioEnergy

Agstar Financial Services has agreed to sell its ethanol plant in Woodbury, Michigan, to local company Carbon Green Bioenergy for an undisclosed price, Associated Press reported on 7 May 2009, citing Agstar Financial.

The 40-million gallon plant was bought by AgStar Financial in March this year, from local bankrupt ethanol producer VeraSun Energy Corporation (OTC:VSUNQ).

Carbon Green BioEnergy is a Chicago-based firm, focused on biofuels, biomass and renewable energy.
