Last Updated: Thursday 9th of December 2010 11:33:00 PM -0700MSTPlans for a biomass plant on Edinburgh's waterfront are set to be opposed by one of the country's biggest environmental groups.
Friends of the Earth Scotland said it believed Forth Energy's plans would contribute to deforestation and climate change.
The developer, a partnership between Forth Ports and Scottish and Southern Energy, claims the plant will create hundreds of jobs and help hit renewable energy targets.
